Both concepts remind us that growth and healing are gradual, and that it is okay to be a work in progress ourselves.

In a society that often pressures us to "move on" quickly, giving yourself permission to grieve means allowing yourself to feel your emotions fully and without judgment. It means understanding that it is okay to cry, to feel angry, or to need solitude. Grief is not something you can simply overcome by force of will. It requires time, patience, and self-compassion.
